How Raycaster collects, uses, and protects your data while using our services.

This Privacy Policy explains how 7th Ave Labs, Inc., doing business as Raycaster ("Raycaster," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards information when you use our websites, document workspaces, AI-assisted features, integrations, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). A customer agreement or data processing addendum may provide additional terms for Customer Content.

1. Information We Collect

1.1. Account and contact information

We collect information you provide when you create an account, request a demonstration, contact support, subscribe to communications, or otherwise interact with us, such as your name, email address, organization, role, and correspondence.

1.2. Customer Content

We process documents, prompts, instructions, comments, outputs, workspace metadata, and other content that you or your organization submit to the Service ("Customer Content"). You and your organization control what Customer Content is submitted and are responsible for having the rights and permissions required to process it.

1.3. Usage and technical information

We may automatically collect device, browser, IP address, log, diagnostic, feature-usage, and security-event information, as well as information collected through cookies and similar technologies. We use this information to operate, secure, understand, and improve the Service.

1.4. Integrations

If you enable an optional integration, we receive the information necessary to provide the features you request. The information and permissions depend on the integration and are presented during connection or authorization. You may disconnect an integration through the Service or the third-party provider.

2. How We Use Information

  • Provide, operate, maintain, personalize, and support the Service.
  • Process Customer Content to perform the tasks and features you request.
  • Authenticate users, administer accounts, monitor reliability, prevent abuse, and protect the Service.
  • Analyze aggregated or de-identified usage and feedback to improve features and user experience.
  • Communicate about the Service, security, support, billing, and, where permitted, product updates or marketing.
  • Comply with law, enforce our agreements, and protect rights, safety, and property.

2.1. Model training

Raycaster does not use Customer Content to train or fine-tune generalized foundation models. We may use aggregated or de-identified operational information, diagnostics, and feedback to improve the Service, provided that this information does not identify you or disclose Customer Content.

2.2. Google user data

Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Google user data is used only to provide or improve the user-facing integration features you enable and is not used to develop, improve, or train generalized AI or machine-learning models.

3. Disclosure and AI Service Providers

We do not sell Customer Content or personal information. We may disclose information in the following circumstances:

3.1. Service providers and subprocessors

We use service providers to host, secure, support, analyze, and deliver the Service. AI features may send the content needed to perform your instruction to model providers. These providers process information on our behalf subject to the applicable service arrangements and only for the purposes of providing the requested functionality.

3.2. Customer direction and integrations

We disclose information when you or your organization direct us to do so, including when you connect an integration, share a workspace, export content, or authorize another user or service.

3.3. Legal requirements and safety

We may disclose information to comply with law or valid legal process, enforce agreements, investigate fraud or abuse, or protect the rights, property, and safety of Raycaster, our customers, or others.

3.4. Business transfers

Information may be disclosed or transferred in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of all or part of our business, subject to applicable confidentiality and legal requirements.

4. Security and Compliance Frameworks

We maintain administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, logging, monitoring, and review procedures. Our security program is informed by control objectives found in recognized frameworks, including SOC 2 and ISO 27001.

References to a framework describe how our controls are designed or mapped and do not, by themselves, state that Raycaster holds a certification or attestation. Current security documentation and any available attestations may be requested at team@raycaster.ai and may be subject to confidentiality requirements. No security measure can guarantee absolute security.

5. Retention, Location, and Your Choices

5.1. Retention and deletion

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Customer Content retention, deletion, export, and backup handling may depend on the plan, configuration, and customer agreement. Residual copies may remain temporarily in backups or where retention is required by law.

5.2. Data location

Information may be processed in the United States and other locations where we or our service providers operate. Contracted data-residency options may be available for eligible enterprise deployments; customers should confirm current region availability and requirements before submitting location-restricted data.

5.3. Access, correction, and deletion

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of personal information, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You may update certain account information through the Service or submit a request to team@raycaster.ai. We may verify your identity and may be required or permitted to retain certain information.

5.4. Communications and integrations

You may opt out of promotional email using the unsubscribe link, disconnect optional integrations, or contact us to deactivate your account. Service and security messages may still be sent where necessary.

6. Children's Privacy

The Service is intended for business users and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. Contact us if you believe a minor has provided personal information.

7. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices, Service, or legal obligations. We will post the revised policy and update the date at the top. Where required, we will provide additional notice.
